Sandcast Glass with Cast Glass Inclusions; Steel Stand

The shape of the casting is based on the mandible of an African lion. The pour is about twice life size. The images inside the casting are taken from pictographs from southern Africa. The three smaller "Kolo-type" figures are from the Kundusi site in Tanzania. These images were first recorded in the 1930's by Mary Leakey.
